includes:
 Robert F. Formica, B.S.E.E., P.E.
President / Chief Engineer

After serving his country in the United States Marine Corp, Bob
returned to continue his education and entered the University of
Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. There, he earned a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to spend seven
years at IBM at "big blues" Boca Raton campus during
the heyday of the PC as a computer engineer. Bob's entrepreneurial
spirit, however, always had him thinking about running his own
engineering company. In 1978 he stepped into the consulting arena
and founded FORMICA & ASSOCIATES.
Throughout his 37 year engineering career Bob has brought his
visionary management style and dedicated work ethic to literally
thousands of projects, many of them large, highly complex construction
projects.
Today, Bob's role, in addition to being the President, is as chief
engineer solving technical problems with a highly talented engineering
staff.
When time permits in his busy schedule Bob volunteers his time
to Habitat for Humanity.

Vice President / Principal

Mike has been at FORMICA & ASSOCIATES since
1994. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
from Florida Atlantic University. In addition to his extensive
engineering and CADD design skills, Mike is the team leader and
new business developer for the firm. His expertise in designing
mechanical and electrical systems and understanding of construction
documents enables him to guide clients in the right direction from
the start of any project.
Mike believes that FORMICA & ASSOCIATES'
edge is the commitment to service all clients with excellent designs
and drawings delivered in a professional and timely manner.
In his spare time, Mike volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
He also enjoys mountain bike racing and golf.
 Javier A. Sills, B.S.I.E.
Comptroller

As comptroller and general manager of FORMICA & ASSOCIATES, Javier serves
as both the financial administrator and the day-to-day supervisor of in-house
affairs, including human resources and company marketing support. He is fluent
in English and Spanish.
Since graduating from the University of Bio-Bio in Chile with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration, Javier
has held key management positions for major international companies including:
- American Cellular Inc., USA
- GTI Wireless, USA.
- Entel S.A., Chile
- COCA-COLA Polar S.A, Chile
- Perfiles PRECOR, Chile
- Calzados DEGAS (Capellini), Chile
Javier joined the FORMICA & ASSOCIATES team in 2003. He sees the company
as a strong, sharp, highly focused enterprise with a bright future. "We
have an excellent management team and a great group of young and talented designers
and engineers," stated, Javier.
 Ursula P. Chavez, B.S.E.E, E.I.T
Project Manager / Engineer

Ursula began at FORMICA & ASSOCIATES as an
engineering intern in 2003. Shortly thereafter, she graduated Cum
Laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Electrical Engineering. She is highly proficient in AutoCADD
design and is fluent in Spanish and English.
As one of two project managers, Ursula is responsible for overseeing
50% of all company projects. She sets timelines with clients and
coordinates the design and production of construction documents.
Her responsibilities also include supervision of the in house team
of engineers, designers and AutoCADD drafters. Her daily schedule
includes interaction with architects, contractors, and building
department officials.
Ursula enjoys the challenges presented by the fast paced engineering
consulting business. She says, while most people take electrical
and plumbing for granted, it is … "What's behind the
walls that counts!"
 Cyndi A. Haywood
Project Manager

Cyndi began her career in 1976 creating hand drafted designs for
residential swimming pools at Pool Makers, one of South Florida's
oldest pool construction companies. From there she spent a couple
of years producing architectural designs for commercial buildings
and, in 1980, Cyndi joined FORMICA & ASSOCIATES.
She stayed for eleven years wearing many hats for the company,
including, hand drafting for electrical, plumbing and mechanical
designs, meeting clients at the jobsite, and administrative duties
for day-to-day company operations.
She returned to the pool business for ten years at Pool People
where she used AutoCADD systems to design swimming pools from basic
residential to million dollar custom creations
In 2002, Cyndi returned to FORMICA & ASSOCIATES and
today is one of two project managers responsible for overseeing

Cyndi enjoys swimming, workouts at the beach, and her dog named
Nellie, a West Highland Terrier.
 Robert A. Hansen, B.S.M.E., E.I.T.
Engineer

Between 1987 and 1997, Robert was a Lieutenant and Fire Suppression
Technician for the El Paso Fire Department in El Paso, Texas. In
addition to fire company management, he has experience in fire
rescue, hazardous materials decontamination, and has served as
an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Rob's interest in how things work led him to begin a second career
in engineering. In 2004 he graduated cum laude with a 3.6/40 GPA,
from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) with a degree in
Mechanical Engineering. Following an internship in 2004, Rob joined FORMICA & ASSOCIATES fulltime
in 2005. He specializes in fire sprinkler system design and HVAC
design. His fire department experience is a real asset when dealing
with fire officials. Other duties include client interface, jobsite
visits, etc. At present, he is the primary engineer for a multi-million
dollar house being built in Miami Beach.
 Amie N. Vaughn, B.S.E.E.
Engineer

Amie spent five years at Kamm Consulting. The first three years
as an Auto CADD Designer and two years as an Electrical Engineer.
In 2005, Aimee joined the FORMICA & ASSOCIATES team.
She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where she earned
a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in mathematics.
Aime has extensive knowledge of Photovoltaic Power Systems. Her
specialty is in electrical design, including low voltage lighting
systems and fire alarm systems. She enjoys meeting with clients
and going onsite to coordinate project details. Her recent experience
includes work on high-end residential renovations and new construction.
Amie enjoys wave running and spending time with her three dogs,
two boxers and a pit bull.
 Karolina Blecharczyk
Electrical / Plumbing Designer

A dedicated employee and team leader at FORMICA & ASSOCIATES since
1999, Karolina has accepted every assignment, no matter how difficult,
with enthusiasm and determination.
She has dedicated herself to honing her craft by spending countless
hours at the drafting table laying out lines for water pipes, waste
and gas lines. Today, she specializes in the design of plumbing
and electrical systems. Karolina takes great pride in her added
roles, which include quality control and review of completed plans,
and in the mentoring of new employees.
Karolina is currently seeking an Associates Degree at Palm Beach
Community College and plans to get her Bachelor of Science in Electrical
Engineering at Florida Atlantic University. In her time off she
enjoys bowling and the beach.
 Cynthia Goldstein
Plumbing Designer

Although with us a short time, Cynthia has made a tremendous difference
in communicating with clients and the internal staff. She handles
telephone calls, filing, and is always on top of making sure plans
get shipped out. In her few spare minutes, she does CADD drafting
for both electrical and plumbing designs.
 Keith Piccillo
AutoCADD Drafter/ Electrical/ Mechanical

Keith received his Associates Degree from Keiser College in 2004.
His primary responsibility is providing electrical and mechanical
drafting support to the various engineers.
